Alligator Indicator का Concept

Bill Williams ने "Trading Chaos" book में Alligator को introduce किया। Metaphor: Alligator markets को चबाता है trending phases में, sleeping phases में कुछ नहीं करता। Structure: तीन smoothed moving averages (SMMA) with different periods और offsets: (1) Jaw (blue line) - 13-period SMMA, 8 bars forward। (2) Teeth (red line) - 8-period SMMA, 5 bars forward। (3) Lips (green line) - 5-period SMMA, 3 bars forward। Alligator market के mood को visualize करता है।

Alligator States

Four states: (1) Sleeping - जब तीनों lines intertwined हैं, flat। No clear trend, range-bound market। Avoid trading। (2) Waking Up - lines diverge करना शुरू होती हैं। Trend forming। (3) Eating - lines clearly separated, trending। Trade in trend direction - "ride the gator"। (4) Satiated - lines converge फिर से, trend ending। Profit take करें। यह visual approach है जिसमें trader quickly market regime identify कर सकते हैं। Bill Williams का focus markets को "chaos theory" perspective से देखना था।
