ADX क्या है?
Average Directional Index (ADX) को Welles Wilder ने 1978 में develop किया था (वही RSI और ATR के creator)। ADX trend की "existence" और "strength" measure करता है, direction नहीं। यह एक range indicator है 0-100 का। Calculation complex है - यह +DI (positive directional indicator) और -DI (negative directional indicator) से derive होती है, जो previous period के highs/lows से calculate होते हैं। +DI और -DI की positions direction suggest करती हैं, ADX उनकी convergence/divergence से trend strength show करता है।
ADX Reading Guide
ADX values interpretation: (1) 0-20: No trend / very weak trend - range trading करें। (2) 20-25: Developing trend - caution। (3) 25-50: Strong trend - trend following strategies work। (4) 50-75: Very strong trend - rare, continue trend trading। (5) 75-100: Extremely strong trend - exhaustion जल्द possible। Key insight: ADX direction agnostic है - 30 ADX दोनों strong uptrend और strong downtrend में हो सकता है। Direction के लिए +DI vs -DI देखें: +DI > -DI = uptrend, विपरीत downtrend।
