Swap क्या है?

Forex में swap (rollover) overnight position pर लगने वाला interest charge या credit है। Mechanism: हर forex pair में दो currencies हैं, हर एक का अपना interest rate है (set by respective central banks)। जब आप position overnight रखते हैं, आप effectively एक currency borrow कर रहे हैं और दूसरी lend कर रहे। Net interest rate differential का effect आपके account में reflect होता है। Calculation hourly नहीं - daily settlement at 5:00 PM ET (2:30 AM IST)। Wednesday triple swap (weekend के लिए advance)।

Positive vs Negative Swap

Examples: (1) USD/INR long: USD higher rate (5%+), INR higher rate (6.5%) - net negative swap typically (small)。 (2) USD/JPY long: USD high (5%+), JPY very low (0.1%) - significant positive swap (~$5/lot/day)。 (3) AUD/JPY long: AUD high (4.5%), JPY very low - positive swap। (4) EUR/USD long: depends on Fed-ECB rates - currently slight negative typically। (5) USD/TRY long: TRY massively high rate (50%) - HUGE negative swap if long USD/TRY। Carry trade strategy positive swap pairs target करती है।

Swap और भारतीय Forex
