About ForexVue
By Laurent · Senior System Engineer · Luxembourg
The Short Version
ForexVue is an independent forex broker comparison site. No corporate team, no venture capital, no hidden agenda, just one person who works in IT, has spent most of his career in banking institutions, and got tired of seeing people confused or scared when the topic of forex comes up.
Who's Behind This
My name is Laurent. I'm a Senior System Engineer based in Luxembourg, and I've spent over 20 years building and managing IT infrastructure for banks and financial institutions.
My career has been in the banking sector: from Lombard International Assurance, where I managed production systems, SQL servers, and backup infrastructure for nearly seven years, to my current role at Rakuten Europe Bank, where I manage servers, security systems like CyberArk and Palo Alto, Active Directory, and compliance-focused infrastructure. I've led infrastructure upgrades, implemented CIS hardening standards, set up Splunk alerting for SOC teams, and trained junior engineers along the way.
I understand the financial industry from the inside: the regulations, the security requirements, how institutions actually handle data and compliance. That perspective is what I bring to ForexVue: when I evaluate a broker's regulatory status or data practices, I'm looking at it through the lens of someone who has spent two decades working in that world.

Why This Site Exists
A few years ago, a friend introduced me to forex trading. I found it fascinating, but every time I'd bring it up in conversation, people either had no idea what I was talking about or were immediately afraid of it.
And honestly? I get it. The forex industry doesn't make it easy. There are hundreds of brokers, confusing regulations, leverage ratios that sound like phone numbers, and a lot of websites that are clearly just pushing you toward whatever broker pays them the most.
So I thought: why not combine the two things I know? I understand technology; I also hold a Webmaster diploma and completed a web development bootcamp, which is why this site loads fast and works well on any device. And I understand the financial industry from the inside.
ForexVue is the result. A clean, honest comparison of forex brokers that doesn't try to overwhelm you with 40+ reviews and walls of text. Just the brokers that are worth considering, presented clearly, with real information about their costs, regulation, and what makes each one different.
What We Are (and What We're Not)
We are: An independent comparison and information website. We check every broker's regulatory status, trading conditions, and accessibility. We try to present this information as clearly and honestly as possible.
We are not: A broker. A financial advisor. A get-rich-quick scheme. We don't hold your money, we don't execute trades, and we don't give personalized investment advice.
We also are not: Perfect. You can absolutely find websites with more brokers reviewed, more data points, and bigger teams. But I believe there's value in keeping things focused. Forex is ultimately a relatively small circle of serious, well-regulated brokers. I'd rather help you navigate that circle well than drown you in information.
How We Make Money
Full transparency: this site uses affiliate links. When you click "Visit" on a broker and open an account, we may receive a referral commission at no extra cost to you. If you do that, genuinely, thank you. That's what keeps this site running and ad-free.
But here's the important part: the affiliate relationship does not determine our rankings. We don't put a broker first because they pay more. We explain exactly how we rank brokers on our How We Rate page.
The Site Itself
ForexVue is built with modern web technology, hosted on Cloudflare's edge network, and available in 25 languages. It's fast, lightweight, and works on any device. No pop-ups, no autoplay videos, no cookie walls. I built it the way I'd want a website to work when I'm looking for information.
If you have a question, a correction, or just want to say hello, get in touch. I read every email.
