xStation 5 Brokers

xStation 5 is a proprietary trading platform developed entirely in-house by XTB, one of Europe's largest publicly listed CFD brokers. Originally launched to complement the MetaTrader ecosystem, xStation 5 has since become XTB's primary trading interface; the broker has phased out MetaTrader 4 in favour of its own technology. The platform is offered at no cost to all XTB clients and serves as the single entry point for forex, indices, commodities, cryptocurrencies, and commission-free stock and ETF investing.

Unlike MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, which are third-party platforms licensed by hundreds of brokers worldwide, xStation 5 is exclusive to XTB. This gives XTB full control over the development roadmap: new features, performance improvements, and regulatory updates can be shipped without waiting for MetaQuotes release cycles. The trade-off is portability: if you leave XTB, you leave xStation behind. xStation 5 runs natively in any modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge) with no installation, plugins, or Java dependencies. The charting engine is the centrepiece of xStation 5. Drawing tools let you annotate charts with trendlines, channels, and geometric shapes. One-click trading is available directly from the chart, and a built-in trade calculator automatically shows the pip value, margin requirement, and potential profit or loss before you place the order. Real-time market sentiment indicators display the percentage of XTB clients who are currently long or short on each instrument, giving you a crowd-positioning edge that is not available on MetaTrader.

Beyond leveraged CFD trading, xStation 5 doubles as an investing platform. XTB offers commission-free trading on over 3,000 real stocks and 300+ ETFs from 16 global exchanges, with no per-trade fees up to a monthly volume threshold. A built-in stock screener lets you filter equities by market capitalisation, price-to-earnings ratio, dividend yield, sector, and more, turning xStation into a research tool as well as an execution platform. Fractional shares are supported, meaning you can invest in high-priced stocks like Amazon or Berkshire Hathaway with as little as 10 EUR.

Performance tracking is another standout.
